commune workshop

the commune workshop were very interesting for me to try as I was very much out of my comfort zone as im sure everyone else was. although saying this it did really help develop my ideas as the feedback Was so useful. it was interesting to hear about the tutors experiences so I could see if I could put this into my own practise. we started by all humming together over zoom which was something I found very surreal but it slowly became more committable then relaxing. the break out rooms as always started of as awkward but with the day going on it go better and we were more comfitble to share and collaborate over the day. the what's app chats were a good place to share and help build on ideas as they are open and uncensored. I was really enlightened by the day it taught me to not have an outcome in mind until I get to the stage where I am ready for one. I learnt the out come should come naturally from my process of development. I will after today go and look over my moving bodies project and see what I can build on from there and start my project from that . the dance part of the workshop was really good for my project as it developed my ideas of movement and poses for my project and made me question how the human form moves though a space. although this workshop was very useful for me to develop my project I did feel out of my comfort zone a lot of the time so I did my best to join in but sometimes I had to step out and observe the task and do it in my own space.

im really exited to develop some of these ideas I have got form this work shop as we go into term 3. I think today more thank anything has made me comfitable around my class mates so I now feel happy to work together next term. I have lots of sources that will connect well with my project and the issue it represents but I think before I look at these I have to get used to my own body. so I am excited to capture my body and form through my camera next term and see where this leads my project
